🔹 Joining a Zoom Meeting

• Click the link provided in your email/calendar invite.

• If prompted, allow your browser to “Open Zoom”.

• Enter your name when asked.

• Choose:

  • Join with Computer Audio (recommended if you have a mic/headset).

  • Or Dial-in by phone (number is in the invite).

• Turn your camera on/off with the button at the bottom.

• Mute/unmute with the microphone button.

🔹 Troubleshooting Zoom

• No sound?

  • Check you’re connected to audio (click the little arrow next to the mic).

  • Test speakers: Audio Settings → Test Speaker.

• Can’t be heard?

  • Make sure mic is not muted.

  • Check correct microphone is selected in Audio Settings.

• Video not working?

  • Click Start Video → If black screen, check if another app is using your camera.

• Poor connection?

  • Turn off video to save bandwidth.

  • Move closer to your Wi-Fi router.

🔹 Getting Around

• Start Menu: Centered at bottom → Click Windows icon → Apps & recent files.

• Taskbar: Pinned apps in middle.

• Search: Magnifying glass on taskbar (or press Windows + S).

🔹 Common Tasks

• Take a Screenshot: Press Windows + Shift + S → Choose rectangle/freeform → Paste into Word/Email.

• Switch Between Apps: Press Alt + Tab.

• Snap Layouts: Hover over the Maximize button (top right of any window) → Choose split-screen layout.

• Shut Down: Start → Power → Shut Down.

🔹 File Management

• File Explorer: New cleaner look, yellow folder icon → Documents, Pictures, Downloads.

• Quick Access: Pinned folders show at top of File Explorer.

• Rename File: Right-click file → Rename.

• Can’t find a setting?

  • Press Windows + I → Settings app opens.

  • Use Search box inside Settings.

• Wi-Fi not working?

  • Click Wi-Fi icon → Network & Internet → Reconnect.

• System frozen?

  • Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete → Task Manager → End Task.

• PC feels slow?

  • Restart regularly.

  • Remove unused apps: Settings → Apps → Uninstall.

🔹 Joining a Teams Meeting

• Click the Teams meeting link in your email/calendar invite.

• Choose:

  • Join on the web (opens in browser), or

  • Open Microsoft Teams app (if installed).

• Enter your name if joining as a guest.

• Check your camera and microphone in the preview screen.

• Select Join Now to enter the meeting.

• Use the toolbar:

  • Camera to turn video on/off.

  • Microphone to mute/unmute.

  • Share to show your screen or a document.

🔹 Troubleshooting Teams

• No sound?

  • Click the Devices icon before joining → Select the right speakers.

  • Try headphones if speakers don’t work.

• Can’t be heard?

  • Check mic is unmuted.

  • Select the correct microphone in Device settings.

• Camera not working?

  • Make sure “Start Video” is clicked.

  • Check Privacy settings (Windows/Mac may block camera use).

• Poor connection?

  • Turn off incoming video (click “…” → Turn off incoming video).

  • If very unstable, dial in by phone (number in invite).
